Investment Accountant

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Investment Accountant responsible for accounting reconciliations and financial disclosures for investment portfolios.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare balance sheet and income statement reconciliations for fixed maturity and equity securities
• Prepare investment disclosures for financial statements on a GAAP & Statutory basis
• Analyze and validate data from internal and external sources, and evaluate the investment portfolio for potential impairments

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields
• 3+ years of Investment Accounting experience in the insurance or finance industries preferred
• Knowledge of GAAP & Statutory accounting for Investments preferred
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (macros, pivot tables, advanced formulas)
• Experience with financial reporting systems, preferably SAP
