Investment Accounting AVP

Job Summary

Responsible for overseeing investment data management and accounting processes, the full-time remote Investment Accounting AVP will manage transaction processing, reconciliations, and financial reporting while providing technical leadership and support to accounting staff and offshore resources.

Key responsibilities

• Own day-to-day investment accounting and reporting processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance across various accounting standards
• Oversee reconciliations of positions, trades, and cash, investigating and resolving variances with thorough documentation
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in investment accounting operations, leveraging advanced analytics and automation tools

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA strongly preferred
• 8+ years of accounting experience focused on investments, including knowledge of multi-basis reporting (GAAP, STAT, Bermuda SFS, EBS)
• Experience managing high-volume reconciliations and strong leadership in SOX/internal controls compliance
• Proven ability to present complex information to executives and regulatory bodies
• Familiarity with Clearwater Analytics, SAP, and Palantir is preferred
