Investment Accounting Senior Associate

Job Summary

To support the accounting close process, the remote Senior Associate, Investment Accounting will manage the compilation of investment data, perform detailed analytical reviews, and assist in regulatory filings while ensuring compliance with accounting principles.

Key responsibilities

• Support the accounting close process, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations for GAAP and STAT accounting
• Perform detailed analytical reviews of investment income, yields, and realized/unrealized gains and losses
• Assist in the implementation and onboarding of new investment portfolios related to block acquisitions

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's or Graduate degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the reinsurance industry or financial services
• Strong understanding of GAAP and STAT investment accounting principles
• Experience with Power Query, SQL, or similar data query/transformation tools desired
• Familiarity with reinsurance structures and investment implications preferred
