Investment Specialist - Trade Finance

Job Summary

To lead the Trade Finance Innovation workstream, the full-time Investment Specialist - Trade Finance will manage relationships with financial service providers and stakeholders, oversee portfolio monitoring and impact measurement, and engage in resource mobilization efforts while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Provide overall direction and management of programme activities under the Trade Finance Innovation workstream
• Conduct financial and operational due diligence on SME trade finance opportunities and structure trade finance instruments
• Build and maintain relationships with commercial banks and development finance partners to expand SME access to trade finance

Required qualifications

• Advanced university degree in Finance, Banking, Economics, Social or Development Studies, Business Administration, or a related field
• A minimum of five years of experience in Trade Finance or seven years with a bachelor's degree
• At least three years of project management experience in SME finance
• Proven track record of working with financial service providers and engaging with multilateral organizations
• Fluency in written and spoken English; professional knowledge of French is an asset
