iOS Developer (Swift)

Job Summary

To support the development of a real-time speech translation app, the full-time iOS Developer (Swift) will manage the architecture and performance of the iOS application, integrate on-device ML frameworks, and ensure seamless audio processing and peer-to-peer communication, all while working in a federal compliance environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the architecture, performance, and memory management of the iOS application, ensuring successful production releases
• Integrate on-device ML inference frameworks and manage real-time audio processing using AVAudioEngine
• Implement background model delivery systems and facilitate peer-to-peer transcript sharing between devices

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience shipping production iOS apps in Swift
• Direct experience with AVAudioEngine or AudioUnit at the hardware callback level
• Proven track record of integrating ML or signal-processing frameworks into iOS applications
• Proficiency in managing memory and performance on constrained devices using Instruments
• Experience with background URLSession and resilient download/upload systems
