iOS Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely as a full-time Senior Software Engineer, iOS, the successful candidate will lead the delivery of mobile Wikipedia product enhancements, improve user experiences for a global audience, and collaborate with cross-functional teams while managing technical initiatives and mentoring junior engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of medium complexity initiatives from technical discovery through delivery, managing scope and identifying risks
• Design and implement scalable, accessible components to enhance mobile Wikipedia experiences on iOS
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to develop pragmatic solutions that meet user needs and technical constraints

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience in building iOS applications
• Proficiency in Swift, SwiftUI, and UIKit, with familiarity in architectural patterns for iOS
• Experience with iOS performance optimization techniques for high-performing applications
• Experience working in a self-driven, lean environment
