IoT Security Engineer

Job Summary

Leading the design and security of enterprise IoT and Operational Technology environments, the contract IoT Security Engineer will work remotely to implement secure architectures, assess cyber risks, and collaborate with cross-functional teams on advanced physical security and surveillance platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the security architecture and governance for enterprise IoT and Operational Technology environments
• Serve as the technical subject matter expert for enterprise physical security and surveillance platforms, including Avigilon Unity Cloud
• Identify cybersecurity risks across the IoT ecosystem and develop effective mitigation strategies

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience)
• 7+ years of experience in Information Security, Network Security, Physical Security, or Cybersecurity
• 5+ years of hands-on experience designing, implementing, or securing IoT and Operational Technology (OT) environments
• Strong experience with enterprise surveillance systems, preferably Avigilon Unity Cloud or comparable video management platforms
• Experience identifying security risks, performing threat modeling, and recommending mitigation strategies
