Iowa Licensed Billing Specialist

Job Summary

To support a growing pharmacy service, the full-time Iowa Licensed Billing Specialist will manage the processing of customer bills and insurance claims, provide excellent customer service, and serve as a departmental resource while working remotely.

Key responsibilities:

• Research and establish patient eligibility coverage with insurance providers and maintain accurate patient files
• Provide timely assistance to billing inquiries and independently resolve patient billing issues
• Perform prescription claims adjudication and ensure compliance with pharmacy billing requirements

Required qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required; Pharmacy Technician license/certification preferred
• 3+ years of related experience, including at least 1 year at the Billing Specialist II level
• Advanced computer skills with pharmacy information system experience required
• Ability to work independently and deliver to deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Great attention to detail and accuracy in billing processes
