Iowa Licensed Donor Coordinator

Job Summary

Facilitating the procurement of postmortem human brain samples, the full-time Iowa Licensed Donor Coordinator will work with medical examiners and tissue recovery specialists, assist with brain removals, and manage the transportation logistics of samples to the University of Iowa.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate donor evaluation, consent, and case triage
• Support procurement of tissue and coordinate rapid logistics for donor transport
• Serve as Institutional Liaison for the Iowa Neuropathology Resource Lab

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biology, biological sciences, neuroscience, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Experience in a health care or clinical environment
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet university fleet safety standards
• Experience with customer service
