Iowa Licensed Liability Claims Specialist

Job Summary

To support a growing claims management team, an Iowa Licensed Liability Claims Specialist will adjudicate commercial auto and general liability claims, negotiate settlements, and maintain accurate loss information while working full-time in a remote capacity.

Key responsibilities:

• Review coverage and investigate bodily injury/liability claims, negotiating settlements using best practices
• Maintain accurate loss information and establish/maintain reserves within authority
• Train and mentor junior Liability Claims Specialists while participating in claim reviews and Risk Control Workshops

Required qualifications:

• Active state-specific adjusters license required or ability to acquire within three months of hire
• 5+ years of experience adjusting property and casualty claims, with prior agency involvement preferred
• High school diploma required; college degree preferred with technical designations such as AIC and CPCU encouraged
• Knowledge of general and auto liability coverages and claims processing procedures
• Ability to learn multiple state insurance regulations and pass state licensing exams
