Job Summary

Managing indemnity claims remotely, the full-time Iowa Licensed Lost Time Claims Specialist will evaluate and determine compensability for work-related injury and disease claims while ensuring cost-effective outcomes and collaboration across teams.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluates and establishes action plans for managing medical and indemnity benefits associated with claims
• Decides claim outcomes using established policies, procedures, and guidelines, while gathering necessary facts through interviews
• Collaborates with various stakeholders, including injured workers and medical professionals, to facilitate timely return-to-work processes

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university is preferred
• Three years of experience in the field of workers' compensation insurance required
• One valid workers' compensation adjuster license is strongly preferred
• Experience in workers' compensation claims practices and laws, including court procedures and state statutes
• Ability to manage claims through the litigation process
