Job Summary

Teaching courses across the social work curriculum, the full-time MSW Visiting Assistant Professor will instruct at the micro, mezzo, and macro levels, participating in departmental activities and program development, while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Instruct courses in the MSW program, covering a total teaching load of 30 credits over two semesters
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to program development and assessment
• Adapt course delivery methods to include both in-person and synchronous online formats based on availability

Required qualifications

• Master's degree in social work (MSW) from a CSWE-accredited program
• Earned doctorate in social work or a related field by August 1, 2026
• At least two years of post-master's social work degree practice experience
• Ability to teach courses at both the MSW and BSW levels, with a principal focus on the master's program
• Proven ability to work with diverse colleagues and students in an ethnically and culturally diverse environment
