Job Summary

Delivering high-quality, standards-aligned literacy instruction in a fully remote environment, the full-time Iowa Licensed Secondary English Teacher will manage online curriculum implementation, facilitate virtual lessons, and monitor student progress while providing individualized support.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver core secondary English Language Arts instruction through synchronous and asynchronous methods, adapting curriculum to align with Iowa Core Standards
• Regularly analyze student data to monitor progress and implement data-driven interventions for students showing signs of disengagement
• Maintain clear communication with students and parents, and participate in virtual staff meetings and professional development to enhance online teaching practices

Required qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in English, English Education, Literature, or a related field
• Valid Iowa Board of Educational Examiners teaching license with a grades 5-12 English Language Arts endorsement
• Minimum of two years of successful teaching experience, preferably in a secondary setting
• Experience using Google Workspace in a professional or academic setting
• Access to a private, secure, high-speed internet connection with specified minimum speeds
