Iowa Licensed Senior Litigation Attorney

Job Summary

Managing moderately complex civil litigation, the full-time Iowa Licensed Senior Litigation Attorney will analyze cases, represent clients in various legal settings, and advocate for policyholders in state and federal courts, all while working remotely.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage civil litigation cases, ensuring adherence to ethical standards and established guidelines
• Lead discovery processes, draft legal documents, and conduct research to support litigation strategies
• Represent clients in trials, mediations, and regulatory hearings while staying informed on legal trends

Required qualifications:

• Admitted to the Iowa State Bar; additional admission to the Nebraska State Bar preferred
• Juris Doctor degree
• Demonstrated litigation experience and preparation of civil pleadings and motions
• Solid knowledge of tort, contract, and insurance law
• Understanding of the rules of Professional Responsibility for the jurisdiction of practice
