Iowa Licensed Visiting Assistant Professor

Job Summary

To support the online Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling program, the full-time Visiting Assistant Professor will teach a minimum of 24 credits during the 2026-2027 academic year, manage program administration, and assist with accreditation tasks in a fully remote capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Teach a minimum of 24 credits per year in the CMHC program
• Support the management and administration of the CMHC program, including accreditation tasks and curriculum audits
• Attend department and faculty assembly meetings

Required qualifications

• Doctoral degree in counselor education from a CACREP accredited program or related field with relevant faculty experience
• Licensure as LMHC, equivalent license, or eligibility for licensure
• Previous teaching experience in a higher education setting
• Familiarity with CACREP accreditation standards
• Competency in technology platforms such as Blackboard and Zoom
