Job Summary
Providing oversight and expertise in claims handling, the full-time remote Iowa Licensed Workers' Compensation Supervisor will manage litigated and complex claims, assist in staff development, and ensure compliance with best practices in claims management.
Key responsibilities
- Adjudicate claims and negotiate settlements while monitoring and documenting claim files
- Lead and coach team members on workflow, performance reviews, and career development
- Facilitate team meetings and coordinate training to maintain standardized processes for quality service
Required qualifications
- High school diploma required; college degree preferred with technical designations such as AIC and CPCU encouraged
- 5+ years of experience in adjusting property and casualty claims, including litigated claims
- Active state-specific Workers Compensation License required or ability to acquire within three months of hire
- Extensive knowledge of General and Auto Liability or Workers Compensation coverages
- Strong grasp of claims principles, practices, and insurance coverage interpretation
