Job Summary
Supporting the efficient execution of patent prosecution activities, the remote IP Assistant will manage patent docketing, coordinate filings, and facilitate communication between attorneys and clients in a collaborative legal environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee patent docket management by tracking deadlines, updating systems, and delivering weekly reports to support attorney readiness
- Prepare, review, and submit patent applications, amendments, and correspondence through USPTO systems, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Facilitate communication with domestic and international clients and associates, confirming receipt of materials and verifying completeness
Required Qualifications
- At least five years of experience in patent prosecution support with hands-on involvement in US filing processes
- Proficiency using docketing and document management systems along with Microsoft Office and Adobe tools
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Effective written and verbal communication skills with a service-oriented approach to client interaction
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-focused environment and managing competing priorities
