Job Summary
Seeking a business-oriented IP Attorney, State Licensed, with over 5 years of experience to join a remote team in a full-time capacity, responsible for managing patent and trademark portfolios, advising on intellectual property transactions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support the company's growth initiatives.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and develop patent and trademark portfolios, including working with outside counsel and legal service providers
- Draft, review, and negotiate agreements related to the use and commercialization of intellectual property assets
- Provide legal guidance on open source licenses and support due diligence efforts for corporate transactions
Required qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited US law school and membership in good standing in at least one state bar
- Minimum of 5 years of legal experience focusing on patent prosecution for consumer software and hardware technology
- Demonstrated background in IP counseling, including trademark and patent matters
- Experience in drafting and negotiating complex contracts involving intellectual property rights
