Job Summary

Seeking a collaborative and pragmatic IP Counsel, this remote eligible position will manage trademark and copyright portfolios, handle escalated notice and takedown cases, and advise internal partners on legal risks associated with trademarks and domain names.

Key responsibilities

• Handle escalated notice & takedown cases related to user-generated content and manage risk through quality control and process development
• Oversee the prosecution and maintenance of global trademark, domain name, and copyright portfolios for Airbnb and its acquired brands
• Advise internal partners on legal risks and viability of proposed trademarks and domain names, including conducting trademark searches

Required qualifications

• JD with a minimum of five years of legal practice, focusing on trademark, copyright, and brand protection counseling
• Strong working knowledge of the Airbnb platform and competitive landscape
• Experience with intellectual property platform liability issues, including the DMCA and DSA
• Demonstrated ability to execute trademark and copyright strategies and improve processes
• Member of a state bar in good standing
