IP Counsel
Job Summary
Seeking an IP Counsel, the full-time remote position will manage and grow the company's international IP portfolio, lead enforcement efforts against licensing violations, and serve as a legal resource for product and engineering teams on open source licensing and product terms.
Key responsibilities
- Own and expand the international IP portfolio while leading enforcement actions against licensing violations
- Advise product teams on licensing, IP, and terms of service considerations during product launches
- Draft and review product terms and develop scalable IP processes and resources as the function grows
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of legal experience with a strong foundation in IP law, including trademark and copyright
- Strong knowledge of open source licensing, including familiarity with various licenses
- Experience advising on product launches, product roadmaps, or terms of service is a plus
- Ability to work proactively to build and protect IP while also addressing enforcement needs
- Individual contributor role with potential to lead the function as it grows
