IP Counsel
Job Summary
To support a legal team on a broad range of intellectual property matters, the contract IP Counsel will provide practical legal guidance on patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets while working remotely for 40 hours per week over a 3-month period.
Key responsibilities
- Advise the business on various intellectual property matters, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets
- Develop and implement strategies to protect and enforce the company's intellectual property portfolio
- Draft, review, and negotiate IP-related agreements and provide guidance on IP disputes
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of experience practicing intellectual property law
- Strong experience in advising on patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets
- Experience in drafting and negotiating IP-related commercial agreements
- In-house experience at a technology company is strongly preferred
- Experience supporting patent matters and IP litigation is a plus
