Job Summary
To support a growing legal team, the full-time IP Docketing Assistant will manage the review, prioritization, processing, and docketing of incoming correspondence while maintaining compliance with USPTO requirements in a fully remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Review, prioritize, and process incoming mail and email, ensuring compliance with USPTO requirements
- Open new matters, create and maintain electronic files, and prepare client correspondence and invoices
- Support the patent prosecution process by generating reports, maintaining databases, and filing documents with the USPTO
Required qualifications
- At least 2 years of general intellectual property experience
- Working familiarity with the patent prosecution process and basic understanding of USPTO rules and procedures
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with Chrome
- High school diploma or GED certificate; a college degree is a plus
