Job Summary
To support a dynamic team, the full-time remote IP Docketing Specialist will manage intellectual property patent prosecution and trademark docketing, ensuring deadlines are met and generating reports while collaborating with IP attorneys and business professionals.
Key responsibilities
- Processes electronic and paper mail, reviewing and inputting relevant docket deadlines into the docketing system
- Maintains and updates docketing items in accordance with firm policies, preparing specialized docket reports as needed
- Assists with patent maintenance fees, annuity processes, and trademark renewal workflows while responding to urgent requests from business professionals
Required qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in a business-related field is preferred, or an equivalent combination of an Associate's degree and relevant experience
- At least five years of substantive IP docketing experience at a major law firm or corporation is required
- Extensive knowledge of U.S. and foreign patents, trademarks, and related databases
- Experience with CPI or Pattsy is strongly preferred, along with familiarity with IPR, PTAB, and TTAB proceedings
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and meeting strict deadlines
