IP Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely, the contract IP Engineer will design, plan, analyze, and implement advanced network systems, focusing on IP/MPLS core, carrier Ethernet, and cellular data core environments while leading complex projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Designs and deploys complex IP/MPLS and transport solutions, ensuring high availability and scalability
• Leads the planning and implementation of new systems and major network upgrades
• Develops engineering documentation and collaborates with leadership on architecture strategies

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Computer Technologies, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred
• Six years of progressive engineering experience in IT, telecommunications, or network design
• Expertise in routing protocols such as BGP, IS-IS, OSPF, and EIGRP
• Experience with transport technologies including Ethernet, SONET, and Cellular
• Proficiency with platforms and tools such as Nokia, Juniper, and Cisco systems
