IP Engineer II

Job Summary

A company is looking for an IP Engineer II to provide operational support for a carrier class IP infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure and reconfigure routers and switches for provisioning new orders
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving network issues while maintaining network documentation
• Serve as an IP networking subject matter expert and provide purchase recommendations based on technical requirements

Required Qualifications

• 4-year engineering or computer science degree preferred, or relevant experience and certifications
• At least one significant industry certification (NRS-1, CCNA, or equivalent)
• 3+ years of experience in the Telecommunications Industry
• Working knowledge of PON, Transport, IP/MPLS, and xWDM
• Experience with telecom facility management tools like Metasolv
