IPTAC Engineering Technician

Job Summary

A company is looking for an IPTAC Engineering Technician to serve as a senior technical escalation point within the Network Control Center.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the top-tier technical escalation point for NCC technicians and troubleshoot complex network issues
• Perform advanced fault isolation across IP, Ethernet, and fiber transport networks, leading restoration processes for outages
• Manage special projects, create documentation, and develop training materials for team capabilities

Required Qualifications

• 5-8 years of experience in advanced technical support roles with IP and Ethernet networks
• Strong knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 carrier networking technologies
• Practical experience with fiber diagnostics, including wavelengths and optical testing
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, IT, Telecommunications, or related discipline; equivalent experience acceptable
• Preferred professional certifications in relevant networking technologies
