IRB Vice Chair

Job Summary

Leading convened IRB meetings and conducting expedited reviews, the full-time remote IRB Vice Chair will ensure compliance with regulations and institutional policies while engaging with research teams and contributing to ethical practices in human subject research.

Key responsibilities:

• Chair and facilitate convened IRB meetings, ensuring thorough review of research activities involving human subjects
• Conduct expedited reviews and provide guidance on regulatory issues to investigators and research personnel
• Participate in initiatives focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion within the IRB processes and membership

Required qualifications:

• Medical Doctor (MD) with 2 years of relevant experience
• Extensive knowledge of federal, state, and local laws governing human subjects research
• Certified IRB Professional (CIP) certification is desirable
