Job Summary
Seeking a part-time remote Freelancer Forest Analyst, the ISA Certified Arborist will analyze satellite imagery to identify tree species and health, while also performing quality control on team outputs related to vegetation risks.
Key responsibilities:
- Identify declining trees and species on satellite images
- Conduct quality control of tree species, hazard trees, and vegetation encroachment assessments
- Collaborate closely with the Lead Arborist on analysis tasks
Required qualifications:
- Experience as a forester or arborist, ideally ISA Certified Arborist
- Proficiency with GIS tools like QGIS and ArcGIS
- Experience interpreting tree characteristics from satellite images
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
