Job Summary
Working remotely, the full-time ISSO Security Analyst will coordinate and drive the completion of Risk Management Framework (RMF) activities, provide information system security expertise, and maintain operational security posture for information systems throughout their lifecycle.
Key responsibilities:
- Coordinate RMF steps 0-6 ATO activities and requirements with Veterans Affairs stakeholders
- Complete and maintain detailed security documentation and execute ATO support duties for various IT systems
- Translate security concepts into actionable recommendations to assist clients in making informed security decisions
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Electronics Engineering, or 13+ years of relevant experience in information technology
- Experience supporting all RMF steps and creating/updating security artifacts and FISMA documents
- Knowledge of NIST SP 800-53 security controls and system authorization processes
- Ability to independently lead client-facing meetings and present complex ATO topics
- Capability to organize and manage large amounts of discrete data across multiple systems
