IT and Cybersecurity Consultant
Job Summary
To support a nonprofit organization, the contract IT and Cybersecurity Consultant will conduct comprehensive IT audits, establish cybersecurity practices, and provide ongoing support, all while working remotely from anywhere in the world.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct initial IT and cybersecurity assessments to identify risks and establish a baseline
- Develop and implement strategies for identity and access management, backup and recovery, and secure remote access
- Support compliance with data protection regulations and create governance documentation to enhance audit readiness
Required qualifications
- Proven experience in IT and cybersecurity consulting, particularly for nonprofit organizations
- Strong understanding of data protection regulations such as GDPR and CCPA
- Experience with identity and access management solutions and backup/recovery systems
- Ability to develop practical IT governance policies and training materials
- Familiarity with security monitoring and incident response planning
