IT and Security Specialist
Job Summary
Owning the systems and access management for the team, the full-time IT and Security Specialist will set security standards, identify and remediate risks, and collaborate closely with engineering and research teams in a fully remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Set and maintain security protocols while ensuring they are practical and not overly burdensome for the team
- Identify and remediate security risks through hands-on technical work and ensure proper implementation of security measures by engineers and researchers
- Manage access across various platforms, making decisions on user permissions and ensuring compliance with security standards
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in security, DevSecOps, IT operations, or a related field
- Experience owning security at a medium-sized organization
- Strong familiarity with Google Workspace administration and AWS IAM
- Proven ability to work closely with engineering teams
- Comfort with making independent access decisions without committee approval
