IT Category Director

Job Summary

A company is looking for an IT Category Director.

Key Responsibilities:

• Bring a step change in savings/value of ongoing annual savings improvement or value contribution to the GBU P&L entity
• Manage and lead a team of category managers and buyers, including mentoring and training
• Build and maintain relationships with IT vendors and suppliers

Required Qualifications:

• 10+ years of strategic sourcing and employee management experience
• Extensive experience in IT purchasing, specifically hardware and software
• Experience leading RFP projects and achieving savings
• High IT spend responsibility
• Experience with IT vendors such as Dell/EMC, Microsoft, RFD, Google, BMC, VMWARE, Citrix, IBM, NetApp, ServiceNow, Hitachi, CDW, NSC, WebHelp, AWS, etc
