IT Category Manager

Job Summary

Responsible for overseeing and optimizing procurement strategies for IT-related goods and services, the full-time Category Manager (IT) will drive cost efficiency, improve supplier relationships, and align purchasing strategies with organizational goals in a fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans for IT goods and services while conducting market research to identify cost-saving opportunities
• Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and assess supplier performance to ensure alignment with business needs
• Identify and mitigate risks within the IT supply chain, ensuring compliance and effective risk management strategies are in place

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree
• 5-8 years of category management experience
• Professional certifications preferred (e.g., CPSM, CIPS, C.P.M.)
• In-depth knowledge of IT procurement and category-specific fundamentals
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to drive in-depth analysis of third-party spend
