IT Category Manager

Job Summary

To optimize company spend and enhance business efficiencies, the remote IT Category Manager will develop and execute IT category strategies while leading contract negotiations with major vendors for Software and Cloud services on a contract basis.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement IT category strategies to drive efficiencies and optimize spend
• Build strong relationships with internal IT partners to identify quality improvement and value enhancement opportunities
• Lead contract negotiations with major vendors, ensuring alignment with business needs

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business management, supply chain management, or a related field; MBA preferred
• 5-10 years of experience in IT software procurement, including contract negotiation
• Proven success in negotiating large enterprise software agreements and niche software contracts
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all organizational levels
• Experience with Ariba Procurement tooling is a plus
