IT Category Specialist

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced IT Category Specialist for a remote contract role, this position will manage vendor relationships, support contract renewals, and engage with stakeholders to develop sourcing strategies for IT spend categories.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage relationships with technology suppliers and vendors
• Support contract renewals, pricing negotiations, and vendor discussions
• Analyze spend data to create sourcing plans and category strategies for assigned categories

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in IT sourcing, procurement, category management, or vendor management
• Experience negotiating with software, SaaS, and technology vendors
• A Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Business or a related field
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn sourcing or contracting systems
• Strong understanding of supplier relationship management and contract renewals
