IT & Cyber Security Consultant

Job Summary

To support a growing practice, the full-time IT & Cyber Security Consultant will design, build, and maintain security architectures across hybrid environments while enhancing SOC detection capabilities and translating regulatory requirements into technical controls, working remotely from authorized states.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement technical solutions for SOC alert orchestration and GRC automated risk monitoring
• Lead the integration of security tools to ensure a unified security posture
• Assist in technical risk assessments by identifying vulnerabilities and recommending remediation engineering

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
• 10+ years of progressive experience in IT and Security, with at least 3 years in a senior or lead engineering capacity
• Strong coding/scripting skills in Python, PowerShell, or Bash for automating security tasks
• Deep understanding of SIEM logic, YARA rules, and EDR configuration
• Preferred certifications include CISSP, CISM, or hands-on technical certifications like GIAC or OSCP
