IT Database Administrator

Job Summary

A company is looking for an IT Database Administrator responsible for managing enterprise SQL Server and Oracle databases.

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and maintain SQL Server and Oracle databases in AWS environments
• Monitor and optimize database performance, availability, and cost efficiency in AWS
• Implement and manage backup, restore, and retention strategies using AWS-native and database tools

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree (2-year degree); preferred: BS/BA in Computer Science or Information Technology Certification
• Minimum three years' experience in a technician or similar applicable role
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle administration
• Experience managing databases in AWS environments (RDS, EC2, storage, networking)
• Solid understanding of database architecture, indexing strategies, and query optimization
