IT Finance Operations Lead

Job Summary

Supporting operational discipline and partnership with Corporate Finance, the full-time remote BT Operations Lead will manage budget monitoring, cost variance, and financial data integrity, while contributing to strategic initiatives such as the Bill of IT and FinOps dashboard.

Key responsibilities

• Support continuous budget monitoring and escalation of potential overruns to maintain IT spending within tolerance levels
• Manage a transparent workflow for budget exceptions, ensuring appropriate approvals for non-strategic spending
• Collaborate with Finance and Accounting to ensure accurate classification of technology assets in alignment with accounting policies

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in IT Finance, IT Business Management, or Financial Planning & Analysis
• 6+ years of experience with accounting principles related to technology investments
• 6+ years of experience in operational financial processes, including budget control and variance analysis
• Experience with cloud cost allocation/optimization tools
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related quantitative field; MBA or CPA certification is a plus
