IT Firewall Administrator

Job Summary

To support a large-scale infrastructure project environment, the full-time IT Firewall Administrator will focus on firewall administration, network security, troubleshooting, and implementing firewall, proxy, and IDS/IPS rules in a remote capacity for candidates residing in the Greater Vancouver area.

Key responsibilities

• Implement, modify, and maintain firewall, proxy, and IDS/IPS rules
• Troubleshoot firewall, proxy, and intrusion prevention issues
• Collaborate with technical teams, customers, and vendors to resolve connectivity and security concerns

Required qualifications

• University degree, technical diploma, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum 4 years of recent experience supporting enterprise firewall environments
• Strong understanding of network security, firewall architecture, and security zoning principles
• Experience administering Fortinet, Palo Alto, and Cisco firewalls
• Experience supporting IDS/IPS technologies
