Job Summary

Working remotely, the full-time IT Incident Management Specialist will manage incident response processes, maintain documentation, and collaborate with various teams to enhance the reliability of IT services supporting the VA.

Key responsibilities
  • Develop and implement response processes for monitoring tool alerts regarding interruptions in VA applications and IT infrastructure
  • Maintain accurate Knowledge Articles and ensure Event Management dashboards are configured to ECC standards
  • Collaborate with system and application owners to gather details on existing design and functionality for operational improvements
Required qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in systems administration and operations, including performance analysis and alert generation
  • 5+ years of IT documentation support experience, including SOP creation and playbook updates
  • 5+ years of experience with monitoring tools such as AppDynamics, DynaTrace, Splunk, Aternity, or SolarWinds
  • 2+ years of experience monitoring and troubleshooting applications logging to Splunk
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Math, or 13+ years of relevant professional experience in lieu of a degree
