IT Infrastructure Engineer
Job Summary
Supporting a diverse IT infrastructure, the full-time IT Infrastructure Engineer will manage Windows and Linux servers, oversee VMware virtualization, and collaborate with the Cybersecurity team, while primarily working remotely with occasional after-hours availability for maintenance and emergency support.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and deploy enterprise storage platforms, ensuring effective capacity management and backup integrity
- Manage VMware vSphere/vCenter environments, focusing on upgrades, patching, and high-compute VM maintenance
- Drive security and patch management efforts across systems, collaborating with the Cybersecurity team to enhance infrastructure security
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent hands-on experience
- 5+ years of hands-on IT infrastructure experience, particularly with enterprise storage and virtualization environments
- Deep experience with VMware vSphere/vCenter and at least one enterprise NAS/SAN platform
- Working knowledge of Active Directory administration and Windows/Linux patch management
- Experience managing vendor relationships and support escalations directly
