IT Manager - NY Licensed

Job Summary

Managing the day-to-day operations of the university's core IT infrastructure, the full-time IT Manager - NY Licensed will ensure the reliability and performance of servers, cloud resources, and backend systems while providing technical leadership and overseeing infrastructure support staff in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of core IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability and reliability of backend systems
• Oversee administration of core infrastructure services and provide technical escalation support for related issues
• Supervise technical staff and coordinate with external vendors for infrastructure operations and support services

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field required
• 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration, or operations support
• 2-3+ years of experience supervising technical staff or contractors preferred
• Hands-on experience supporting servers, storage, virtualization, and/or cloud environments
• Experience in a higher education or complex enterprise environment preferred
