IT Operational Auditor

Job Summary

To support a fast-paced retail and financial services environment, the contract IT Operational Auditor will evaluate operational effectiveness, technology controls, and compliance while working remotely, preferably in the Central Time Zone.

Key responsibilities

• Execute operational and IT-focused audits across enterprise systems and retail operations
• Partner with technology and business leadership to identify process gaps and control improvement opportunities
• Support audits related to PCI compliance, data security, and vendor management

Required qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in IT Audit, Operational Audit, or Technology Risk environments
• Strong understanding of IT general controls, operational controls, and cybersecurity principles
• Experience auditing environments involving POS systems and distributed operational technology
• Familiarity with governance/compliance frameworks such as PCI, SOX, or NIST
• Ability to work cross-functionally with technical and non-technical stakeholders
