IT Ops Agile Coach

Job Summary

To enhance agile practices within IT Operations, the freelance IT Ops Agile Coach will work remotely, focusing on hands-on coaching for 7 teams totaling over 50 people, identifying gaps in workflows and implementing effective agile methodologies tailored to operational environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Observe team dynamics and workflows, conducting 1:1 sessions to identify specific challenges and goals
• Facilitate workshops to establish consistent working agreements and implement structured task decomposition and estimation techniques within Jira
• Hold weekly syncs with leadership to review progress and ensure sustainable changes across teams

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience coaching IT and operations-focused teams on agile practices, specifically Kanban
• Expert-level knowledge of Jira, including building advanced dashboards for flow metrics
• Demonstrated ability to provide constructive feedback to managers in a psychologically safe manner
• Strong track record of implementing Working Agreements and task decomposition standards across diverse teams
• Ability to effectively balance team-specific needs with cross-team consistency
