IT Platform Engineer
Job Summary
Building and operating an AWS-native data lake and AI gateway, the full-time IT Platform Engineer will focus on infrastructure-as-code, cloud data services, and ensuring reliable, secure access to data and models in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Build and maintain the AWS-native lakehouse foundation using Python, Glue, Athena, and S3, implementing medallion-style layering
- Manage infrastructure through code (Terraform or equivalent) with version control and repeatable deployments
- Operate and support the internal AI platform, enforcing security and access baselines across data and model layers
Required qualifications
- Strong infrastructure-as-code experience (Terraform or equivalent) as a primary work method
- Solid AWS fundamentals, including IAM, networking (VPC, PrivateLink), and S3
- Proficiency in Python for data pipelines, automation, and tooling
- Experience operating production infrastructure independently and managing work through an Agile process
