IT Project Cost Estimator

Job Summary

To support a large and complex IT program, the remote IT Project Cost Estimator will provide subject matter expertise in developing Lifecycle Cost Estimates (LCCE) using the SEER toolset, collaborating with government teams, and conducting analyses to aid investment decisions.

Key responsibilities:

• Assist in developing lifecycle cost estimates during program planning and budget formulation
• Analyze program requirements and conduct workshops with stakeholders to gather key inputs for LCCE development
• Support the implementation of advanced cost estimating capabilities and maintain the IT program Lifecycle Cost Estimate

Required qualifications:

• BS/BA degree in engineering, economics, finance, or a related field
• 5 or more years of direct work experience with the Census Bureau
• Proficiency with cost estimating tool sets for IT solutions, including applications and infrastructure
• Intermediate/advanced Excel skills for data analysis and repeatable analyses
• Ability to gain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance
