IT Project Manager

Job Summary

A company is looking for an IT Project Manager to support the South Dakota Department of Social Services in a consulting engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of information system transformation projects
• Provide strategic direction and ensure project governance throughout the project lifecycle
• Mentor state personnel in project management practices and methodologies

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field
• PMP certification or equivalent experience in project management
• 5+ years of experience managing enterprise-level IT projects, preferably in a government or public sector environment
• Knowledge of child support program policies and experience in child support system modernization projects
• Familiarity with various software development methodologies including Agile, Waterfall, and DevOps
