IT Project Manager Consultant

Job Summary

To enhance project management practices within the Information Technology Services Department, the full-time IT Project Manager Consultant will manage critical projects, improve project management maturity, and implement AI-enabled delivery methods remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Directly manage an assigned portfolio of critical IT projects, ensuring alignment with PAHO priorities and stakeholder engagement
• Establish and enhance project management practices, governance, and AI-enabled delivery methods across the ITS portfolio
• Prepare and facilitate project reviews, maintain comprehensive project documentation, and ensure formal project closure with lessons learned

Required qualifications

• University degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
• Minimum of five years managing IT projects in complex environments, including experience with multiple concurrent projects and external vendors
• Demonstrated experience with various project delivery methods (predictive, agile, hybrid) and establishing project management practices
• Proven ability to apply AI tooling in project delivery and experience with Microsoft 365 and Power Platform
• Fluency in written and spoken English and working knowledge of Spanish; additional languages are a plus
