IT Risk Mitigation Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the IT Risk Mitigation Engineer II will assist the Risk Mitigation team by promoting a risk-based approach to vulnerability management, utilizing hands-on solutions and tools for monitoring, assessment, tracking, and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Support technical initiatives to guide remediation solutions and reduce vulnerabilities across all accountable technologies
• Collaborate with Security and IT Infrastructure to implement actionable remediation requirements for auditable technologies
• Maintain and support vulnerability management programs, including regular scans and assessments to identify security vulnerabilities

Required qualifications

• Associates degree or competency-based degree in a related IT discipline preferred
• 2+ years of experience in vulnerability management or compliance monitoring
• Knowledge of technical concepts associated with Windows and/or Linux operating systems, cloud computing, and networking
• Experience with vulnerability scanning tools such as Nessus, Rapid7, or Qualys
• Relevant industry certifications such as A+, Network+, Security+, CISSP, or CISM are a plus
