IT Security Analyst

Job Summary

To support a premier healthcare organization, the contract IT Security Analyst will perform threat hunting, respond to cybersecurity incidents, and fine-tune advanced technical controls while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and manage security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection systems
• Respond to and coordinate investigations of cybersecurity incidents for rapid containment and remediation
• Conduct periodic vulnerability assessments to identify and resolve potential exposures across systems and networks

Required qualifications

• At least 5 years of total IT experience, with a minimum of 3 years in Information Security
• Proven hands-on experience with Anti-malware and EDR/XDR platforms
• Strong proficiency in Windows and Linux environments, with an understanding of network traffic analysis
• Demonstrated ability to contain and remediate security breaches effectively
• Availability during Central Standard Time (CST) business hours, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
